# Pair Staking

The act of staking the tokens received as a representation of liquidity provision by Liquidity Providers is called LP Staking or Yield Farming. Liquidity Providers receive a share of the swap fees from swap users by default, but they can also deposit LP tokens into the Pair Staking Pool to receive additional rewards. In AtheneSwap, the reward token LOUI is provided as compensation for Pair Staking.
